Doc kissed her tenderly, and then that kiss grew deeper quickly and he had to remind himself that they were in the public parking lot at the medical center. He slid his palm along her ass, squeezing, admiring how muscular and fit she was, and this protective feeling consumed him as he released her lips, kissed her neck and hugged her tight. He didn’t want to be apart from her. He wanted more alone time, to learn everything he could about her and the other secrets she obviously had. Perhaps it even had to do with how she knew those soldiers, Mike, Hansen and Mecurio, and even that Commander Fairchild. The jealous feeling consumed him.

“I’ll see you later. Drive carefully,” he told her and then slowly let her go and watched her drive away. He pulled out his phone and texted his brothers. They would need to know what she told him so they could understand and they could prove to her that they weren’t like her fiancé and that they could be trusted. He also would tell them there was more, but she was holding back and he couldn’t help but wonder how bad those secrets truly were.
